The leopard gecko is a name that has been repeated many times,it has a fascinating history!Today we will be discussing the care and the history of this gorgeous creature.
Leopard geckos are considered the easiest lizards to keep,they make terrific pets for older children and adults!They are crepuscular,they appear more active in twilight.Small geckos may not be the wisest choice for younger children,they are very delicate.An estimated lifespan for a gecko is 20 years or more!Leopard geckos should be alone when young,they will fight for food and may get injured,but for older females,they will be happy living together.They are very easy to feed,because they only eat insects!Try avoiding giving them the same insects the same time,vary their diet with crickets,small locusts,meal worms(make sure there insects are healthy before feeding to the gecko).To keep your gecko fit and healthy give them the correct food,they depend on it!Providing heat and vitamins are the most important parts of keeping them healthy.Here are the signs of a healthy gecko:

Lizards are known to carry curtain disease to humans if not well cared for.They don`t really mind being handled,they rarely bite and scratch,but if scared,they will bite and scratch a bit. Leopard geckos don't usually have odor,but when miss-cared for odor will develop.
